Summary:
Monitors gaming facility activities for non-compliance relating to internal controls and safety.
Performs gaming machine compliance for vendor repairs, upgrades, installs, removals, and relocations.
Maintains accurate records for machines.
Job Duties:
Visually monitors gaming activities by patrolling gaming area and routinely evaluating gaming floor through surveillance.
Monitors compliance by using internal controls and compliance checklists.
Assists in compliance investigations in gathering documentation and evidence.
Performs routine inspections of facilities for safety violations.
Assists with fingerprinting and retrieves information for licensing, such as photographs and documentation as needed.
Reviews applications for completeness and obtains information needed to complete applications, as well as conducts interviews as needed.
Assists the Background Investigators with processes by distributing licenses in a timely manner.
Notifies surveillance, gaming operations, and other appropriate officials with areas of concern and other violations in performance of compliance reviews and checklists.
Performs gaming machine compliance verification and oversight of gaming machine access including installation and daily operation of gaming machine systems.
Performs gaming machine compliance for vendor repairs, upgrades, installs, removals, and relocations.
Regulates by utilizing Gaming Commission policy to enforce regulations, including reporting and write-ups of violations.
Maintains accurate records on gaming machine data, facility data, key control, and inventory of sensitive gaming devices.
Provides accurate documentation and details when reporting to supervisor.
Files daily activity reports to supervisor.
Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Associates degree from 2-year college or technical school; or two years (60 credit hours) coursework from 4-year college or university; or three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Related educational fields and/or experience can include Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Technology, Math, Science, Finance, Management, Customer Service, Security, Law Enforcement and/or Gaming experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS An additional one (1) year related experience is required.
Gaming experience is preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should have knowledge of Database software, Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
Must successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a Cherokee Nation Gaming License throughout employment.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must have effective oral and written communication skills and working knowledge of gaming rules and regulations.
Must possess ability to analyze and interpret numerical data, maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time, and be able to perform assigned duties in a highly interruptive conditions.
Must abide by Commission confidentiality policies.
Must possess the aptitude to perform fingerprinting.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
